PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION
To extend the Hard Facilities Management Fixed Electrical Inspection and Testing and Portable Appliance Testing contracts.
BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION
The current Hard Facilities Management Fixed Electrical Inspection and Testing and Portable Appliance Testing contracts established by the former County Council are due to expire at the end January 2025.
A decision is being made to extend the contracts until the 31st January 2026.
LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE
A Gateway 4 report will be considered in accordance with the Council’s Procurement and Contract Procedure Rules.
The contract extensions will be undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management and Legal and Democratic Services.
This is a key decision. The proposal to extend the contracts was entered on the forward plan in May 2024.
RECOMMENDATION
That the extension for the Hard Facilities Management Fixed Electrical Inspection and Testing and Portable Appliance Testingcontracts be approved.
